I’m a PhD candidate at QuSoft/University of Amsterdam, on a 3 month visit to LIP6. I enjoy translating classical cryptographic tasks to the fully quantum world (even the messages!) by thinking of the proper security definitions; I’ve previously worked on authentication, zero knowledge, port based teleportation… and I’m in Paris to explore quantum pseudorandom states with Alex Bredariol Grilo. Pseudorandom states, inspired by classical pseudorandom generators, seem a more natural quantum alternative to one-way functions upon which to build quantum cryptography, but who knows! On the early stage of their existence, it’s interesting to discover what are their possibilities and limitations.
