PhD thesis: Towards Quantum Sensor Networks
I’m currently doing research in the area of distributed quantum technologies. As soon as quantum networks start to be deployed, it is of our interest to use these networks to execute new protocols for several applications, ranging from distributed quantum computing, to quantum sensing and so on. It is known that one can reach advantage by using entangled states in these applications, particularly in sensing. However, there are still a lot of gaps to fill when it comes to the execution of these protocols, and which quantum states fare better. In my research I intend to fill some of these gaps and develop new protocols for quantum sensor networks.
