Point-to-point modelisation of a quantum network with a spatial component

I am currently pursuing a PhD on end-to-end modeling of quantum information networks comprising a space segment. My research aims to develop models and simulation tools to study the performance of quantum communication systems that integrate satellite links. I focus on linking the physical layer with the network level. This approach allows the evaluation of key performance metrics, the identification of technological challenges, and the exploration of possible demonstration scenarios for future space-based quantum networks.
