Ground-state energy verification via semidefinite programming

Supervised by Damien Markham and Enky Oudot, I work on certifying ground-state energies of quantum Hamiltonians using a hierarchy of semidefinite programs. The project implements the Navascués–Pironio–Acín (NPA) hierarchy to derive lower bounds on ground-state energies, compares them with variational upper bounds, and investigates how to combine both for tighter, more reliable estimates.

About me

Feel free to call me Gazelle — it’s an easier-to-pronounce version of my name and carries the same meaning in Persian, my mother tongue. Outside of research, I shoot analog photography, and I’m an enthusiastic viewer of cinema and theatre.
