My work focuses on implementing algorithms for continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CVQKD) photonic systems. The key rate produced by CVQKD is often limited by the speed and quality of certain algorithmic processes within the system. The first technological focus is developing a high-performance error correction system that integrates algorithms to ensure efficient reconciliation while maintaining high throughput. The second focus is on high-speed digital signal processing, which is essential for optimising the system’s overall performance.
