Coherent optical communication in the quantum regime

I’m a CIFRE PhD student, working between my company (Exail in Besançon) and the lab. I work on experimental Continuous Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CVQKD). The aim of this thesis is to use the tools of coherent optical telecommunications at very low optical power to create cryptographic links whose security is guaranteed by the fundamental laws of quantum physics. With the help of Thales Six, and as part of the QKISS project financed by the European Union, our goal is to industrialize QKD systems by 2025.
