Abstract

Entanglement is a fundamental and unique resource for quantum information processing, enabling device-independent quantum communication protocols. The loophole-free violation of a Bell inequality is a necessary pre-requisite to conclusively certify the nonlocal correlations. In this talk, I will show a fiber-based platform for Bell tests utilizing time-bin entanglement to simultaneously close the locality, freedom-of-choice, and postselection loopholes. I will introduce the performed experiment, together with the experimental challenges and how to overcome them to manage such strict space-time constraints. Notably, we achieve this certification of nonlocality at a reduced separation distance of around 48.82 m compared to previous photonic Bell tests.
